HUDSON VALLEY CONTEMPORARY
Design a 3,000 sq. ft. (living areas) contemporary country home with three bedrooms, generously sized great room, home office, gym, rooftop greenhouse, two-car garage and partial basement. Primary house functions are located on one, barrier free floor. The well insulated house features triple pane windows and 54 photo photovoltaics solar panels, installed on flat roof concealed from street view, that cover over 90% of electrical power needs. A greenhouse and a raised-bed garden allow for plant-based, organic food production. Interiors are designed with custom built-in woodwork, custom furniture, and easily maintainable materials and finishes. Trimless designs and muted colors convey a sense of restraint and simplicity.
